- At the Bookworms Sep. 2008 meeting held at Adrienne DeFrank’s home in Rockaway Beach, members gathered for a book discussion.

- Discussion leader for the meeting Mary Sause, provided background information about the author and the historical period covered by the Jung Chang memoir, Wild Swans.

- Ten members attended. The women agreed that it was a great way to spend a drizzly afternoon.

- Hostess of the month, Adrienne DeFrank, provided a sumptuous array of fruits, snacks, desserts, and beverages (wine/lemonade/tea/coffee).
