At the Bookworms Sep. 2008 meeting held at Adrienne DeFrank’s home in Rockaway Beach, members gathered for a book discussion.
Discussion leader for the meeting Mary Sause, provided background information about the author and the historical period covered by the Jung Chang memoir, Wild Swans.
Ten members attended. The women agreed that it was a great way to spend a drizzly afternoon.
Hostess of the month, Adrienne DeFrank, provided a sumptuous array of fruits, snacks, desserts, and beverages (wine/lemonade/tea/coffee).
After book discussion, there was time for some socializing with friends–both old and new.
AAUW of Tillamook book clubs meet monthly for ten months a year.
